Sports Planet began its services in November 2002, responding to a need for good futsal venues, services and facilities in Malaysia. Sports Planet (Subang Jaya) was our first outlet.

As the number of futsal enthusiasts grew, so did our determination to continously offer the Ultimate Futsal Experience via specific emphasis on facilities & services at an affordable price, as well as the experience one takes home after every futsal game.

Within 2 years, Sports Planet saw the opening of 4 additional venues at Subang Grand (formerly known as Sunway), Shah Alam, Ampang and Alor Star consecutively. The opening of Subang Grand marked a significant milestone in the industry becoming the single largest indoor soccer venue in Malaysia, as officially recognized by the Malaysian Book of Records.

Today, Sports Planet is the leading and largest futsal venue provider and brand in Malaysia. In total, there are 11 Sports Planet venues nationwide (namely; Subang Jaya, Shah Alam, Subang Grand, Ampang, Alor Star, Kuching, Penang, Ipoh, Melaka & Tampin). Our venues cover a total of 7 states, having 57 pitches including 3 International size, FIFA approved Futsal pitches.

In December 2005, Sports Planet ushered her first international venue, Sports Planet (Pluit, Jakarta). The venue carries with it the Sports Planet brand, affordability and service driven vision to nations outside Malaysia, of whom are very much welcomed to join us.

Sports Planet is also a registered franchisor with the Registrar of Franchises under the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development (Kementrian Pembangunan Usahawan) since early 2005.
