MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS
EXECUTIVE (May, 2008)
Job
Description:
• Assist, plan, design, and execute Marketing
& Communication agendas, such as the creation
of below-the-line advertising collaterals (leaflets,
posters, banners, buntings) to magazine, website,
above-the-line advertising (not as much as below-the-line
advertising), sales & promotional agendas (discount
vouchers, merchandizes, etc).
• Assist, plan, design, and execute agendas
for new Sports Planet venues including the preparation
of signages, namecards, branding material, leaflets,
etc.
• Photograph events when needed.
• Handle production; sourcing for quotations
and arranging for delivery of artwork.
• Assist the Events Manager in meeting clients
to arrange and event organize Sports Planet Events
(exhibitions, tournament/non-tournament events, etc.)
Reason
for the role being available:
Growth in the business requires additional support,
hence the need for good and reliable designers to
communicate our brand and marketing messages.

the candidate be reporting to?
The Marketing & Communications Director &
The Executive Directors
Essential
Experience the candidate must possess:
General experience in design required, but a good
and solid portfolio focusing more on advertising/posters/brand
identity works is good. Additional plus signs would
be work experience in PR/Advertising/Media/MassComm
fields.
To work
with:
•Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator,
InDesign; Macromedia Dreamweaver & basic HTML
and FTP. Knowledge in Macromedia Flash a plus.
•Experienced in SLR photography.
•Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Educational
Qualification:
A Diploma/Degree in Advertising/GraphicDesign related
fields.
Personal
characteristics:
•Good design sense and understanding of design
fundamentals, layout & typography, etc.
•Outgoing, independent, and VERY passionate
about communicating messages through creativity and
innovation with a balance of efficiency.
•Fluent in written and spoken English. Able
to converse in Bahasa Melayu. Versed in Chinese a
plus.
• Is comfortable and able to present ideas,
research, and or proposals well.
• Able to contribute ideas freely.
•Able to meet tight deadlines.
• If you like futsal, all the merrier! It'll
make alot of the things you will be doing easier to
understand.
